On the anniversary of the Columbine shooting, students across the nation are walking out of school and protesting to demand congress take action to prevent continued gun violence.

School meeting has voted to close school on April 20th in solidarity with these nationwide protests. While school will not be open as per usual, school meeting members are organizing a day of action and reflection for family and friends of Clearwater. We will begin with a march and period of silence in honor of those who have lost their lives due to gun violence followed by writing letters and emails to congress to demand policy change. We will also be screening the documentary Bowling for Columbine followed by discussion and reflection.
